Anna Stuart's daytime career began in 1971 as Toni Ferra Powers on The Doctors, a role she played until 1977. From 1977 to 1978, Stuart appeared on General Hospital as Dr. Gina Dante Lansing. In 1981, Stuart filed in for Maeve Kinkead on Guiding Light when Kinkead was on maternity leave. Stuart's most notable daytime role began in 1983 as Donna Love on Another World. Stuart would leave the show on three different occasions in 1986, 1990 and 1993 before she made a final return to the show in later 1993 and stayed with the series until it was cancelled in 1999. Stuart made appearances on As the World Turns as Donna from 1999 to 2002. In April 2002, Stuart filled in for her AW costar Linda Dano on One Life to Live and the following month began appearing on All My Children as Mary Greenlee Smythe. Stuart's last acting credit was in 2009 on the web series Gotham.
