Camryn Grimes joined daytime in 1997 when she was cast as Cassie Newman on The Young and the Restless. In 2005, Grimes was released from the show when they decided to kill the character of Cassie in a car accident. Grimes made return guest appearances as a ghost in 2007, 2009 and 2010. Grimes had a small role in Magic Mike. Grimes returned to Y&R in July 2013 as a vision of Cassie to Sharon.  In January 2014, Grimes began playing a Cassie look-a-like which turned out to be Tyler's ex-girlfriend, Mariah.
