David Lewis joined daytime in 1978 when he was cast as Edward Quartermaine on General Hospital. Lewis left GH in 1989 but returned in 1991 for two more years. Lewis left GH again in 1993 when he retired from acting to focus on his health. Lewis died at age 84 on December 11, 2000.
