Bernard Barrow's daytime career started in 1969 as a guard on The Edge of Night until he unfortunately left the show. From 1970-1974, Barrow played Dan Kincaid on The Secret Storm. In 1974, Barrow returned to The Edge of Night but as Ira Paulson. In 1975, Barrow joined Ryan's Hope as Johnny Ryan, a role he played until its end in 1989. From 1990-1993, Barrow appeared on Loving as Louie Slavinski, a role he played until his death on August 4 of that year from lung cancer.
