Tamara Braun's career in daytime began in 2001 when she won the coveted role of Carly Corinthos on General Hospital. Braun left GH in 2005 and after three years away from daytime joined Days of our Lives as Ava Vitali. While the role was just a six month arc, Braun would go on to win a Daytime Emmy for her work in 2009. From 2008-2009, Braun played Reese Marshall on All My Children where her character was involved in daytime's first gay wedding for two main characters. In 2011, Braun returned to DAYS but as Taylor Walker but was written out after five months. Braun has appeared in episode of Castle and Supernatural. Braun returned to GH in April 2014 for a one day appearance as Carly. Braun returned to DAYS as Ava from December 2015 to March 2016. Braun returned to General Hospital in November 2017 playing a new character, Dr. Kim Nero whom she played until November 2019. In November 2020, Braun returned to DAYS as Ava playing the role until December 2022 but returned again in August 2023.
