Lane Davies first daytime role was on Days of our Lives as Evan Wyland but his most notable role came in 1984 when he joined Santa Barbara as Mason Capwell. Davies left Santa Barbara in 1989. In 1992, Davies filled in for Ronn Moss on The Bold and the Beautiful. Davies returned to daytime in 2002 to play Cameron Lewis on General Hospital which reunited him with Santa Barbara co-star Nancy Lee Grahn. Davies was written off GH in 2004.

Davies was married to Holly Swann and they had two children: Thatcher Lee and Nathan Hamilton.
