Vanessa Marcil's career in daytime started in 1992 when she joined General Hospital as Brenda Barrett. Marcil left GH in 1998 to pursue other opportunities and soon landed the role of Gina Kincaid on Beverly Hills, 90210. In 2002, Marcil returned to GH for a six month story arc and would win a Daytime Emmy in 2003. After leaving GH, Marcil appeared on Las Vegas as Sam Marquez. Marcil returned to GH in 2010 for just under a year. Marcil made another return in April 2013.

Marcil Giovinazzo was married to Carmine Giovinazzo from 2010 to 2013. Marcil was previously married to Corey Feldman from 1989 to 1993. Marcil has one child from her relationship with Brian Austin Green: Kassius Lijah (b. 03/30/2002).
