Drake Hogestyn joined Daytime in 1986 as a recast for Roman Brady on Days of our Lives. The show faced a dilemma in 1991 when Wayne Northrop wanted to return to DAYS. DAYS decided to reveal Hogestyn's Roman to really be John Black. Hogestyn stayed with DAYS until he was written out in 2009. In 2011, Hogestyn returned to DAYS as part of the show's reboot. Hogestyn was taken off contract in July 2013 but returned in March 2014. Hogestyn was injured on set in 2016 which forced a five month write out of John.
Personal Life[]
Hogestyn has been married to Victoria Ann Post since 12/31/1984. They have two children together: Whitney (b. 07/20/1985) and Alexandra Lane (b. 12/09/1988). Hogestyn is also stepfather to Post's two children from a previous marriage: Rachael Lynn (b. 06/15/1979) and Benjamin William (b. 11/06/1981).
