Helen Gallagher's daytime career began in 1979 when she joined Ryan's Hope as Maeve Ryan. Gallagher played the role though out Ryan's Hope fourteen year run before cancellation. In 1989, after RH cancellation, Gallagher played Hannah Tuttle on Another World and in the early 1990's played a nurse on All My Children. until mid 1990's when she left the show and departed. Gallagher's last onscreen acting credit was in 1997 on One Life to Live as Maude Boylan. Gallagher' has an extensive theatre career that has awarded her with two Tony Awards. Gallaghers last theatre credit was 2000's 70, Girls, 70.
