Jed Allan first appearance in daytime was in 1964 as Ace Hubbard on Love of Life. Allan is best known to audiences for playing Don Craig on Days of our Lives, a role he played from 1971-1985. After leaving DAYS, Allan appeared on Santa Barbara from 1986-1993. In 2001, Allan played Ed Grant on Port Charles, a role he played until 2003. Allan took over the role of Edward Quartermaine on General Hospita from 2004-2006, when John Ingle left to join DAYS. Allan had made numerous guest appearances on prime time TV including playing Rush Sanders on Beverly Hills, 90210. Most recently, Allan appeared on the web series The Bay. Allan passed away on March 9, 2019 at age 84.

Allan has been married to Toby Druger from 1958 until her death in 2001. They had three children: Mitch, Dean and Rick.
