Kurt McKinney's daytime career began in 1988 when he originate the role of Ned Ashton on General Hospital. McKinney left GH in 1991 and three years later in 1994 joined Guiding Light as Matt Reardon. McKinney played the role regularly until 2000 and made several guest appearances in the early 2000's. In 2007, McKinney returned to GL in a recurring capacity staying with the show until it's cancellation in September 2009. McKinney made an appearance on One Life to Live in 2011 as a doctor.
