Martha Byrne's daytime career began in 1985 when she took on the role of Lilly Walsh Synder on As the World Turns. Byrne left ATWT in 1998 before returning in 1999. Byrne then left ATWT again in 2009 when her and the show failed to come to term on a contract and the role was recast with Noelle Beck. Byrne had wrote three scripts for The Bold and the Beautiful in 2009 before joining General Hospital as Andrea Floyd.   Byrne has created the web drama series Gotham and Anacostia.

Personal LifeEdit

Byrne has been married to Michael McMahon since 11/12/1999. They have three children together: Michael Terrance (b. 05/29/2000); Maxwell Vincent (b. 09/03/2000) and Annamarie (b. 06/12/2001).
