Suzanne Rogers joined Daytime in 1973 as Maggie Horton on Days of our Lives. Rogers has briefly left the role in 1984 and 2003 but returned both times in less than a year. In 1979, Rogers won the first ever Daytime Emmy for Supporting Actress.

  • Rogers is a former Radio City Music Hall Rockette.
  • Rogers was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis in 1984, which forced her to take a break from DAYS. After returning to the show, Rogers requested that Maggie also be diagnosed in an effort to bring attention to the disease and help education viewers. It is still a recurring story line on the show today.
